Your First Float

For your comfort, we recommend removing any contact lenses as the salt water may damage and/or irritate the lens; you may tie long hair. Turning on a playlist or podcast is also an option for some people, but please feel free to enjoy the float in silence. We also recommend waiting to Float if you have recently shaved/waxed or have healing tattoo as it may irritate the skin and cause discomfort.

Your float experience is at least an hour long, thus for a comfortable experience we recommend using the restroom before you begin. Feel free to use the provided earplugs. And most importantly, to keep the salt water clean, we require floaters to use the in-room shower prior to your float session. After your time ends, you will exit the tank and can shower again to remove excess salt from the skin.

Before You Float Instructional Video

By following these guidelines above and viewing the instructional video below, you will have an understanding of how to be comfortable and have a hygienic float experience. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please let our team at Kumefloat know!

How it works

The magnesium sulfate (salt water) is useful for joint repair and is anti-inflammatory, and floating in it allows the stuff to enter the body through the skin and, in turn, help your muscles relax—similar to how you would in a homemade Epsom salt bath.

Magnesium helps to regulate the equilibrium of the blood glucose and blood pressure in hundreds of enzymatic processes. It is also one of the ions that regulate muscle movement and natural heart activity during the cycle of the nerve Impulse.

The body absorbs what it wants in the float session and disposes of waste because of its inherent detoxification features. Plan consistent floating sessions with Kume Float to alleviate pain and increase relaxation.
