Intrigued with movement and optimizing his own health, Brian began his health and fitness career over 20 years ago as a personal trainer. After years of training, he became frustrated with the “body building” style of training and mediocre results with his clients. That’s when he began his journey studying neurology through Z-health. A comprehensive brain-based educational program for pain relief and elite sports performance utilizing neurology. These “brain hacks” consist of sports vision training, vestibular rehabilitation, respiratory rehabilitation, pain neuroscience, biomechanics kinesiology and sports skill coaching.
Brian is a Z-health Master Trainer and has a passion for helping people who have tried other modalities. He found that float therapy, cryotherapy and infrared sauna are all great modalities to help improve recovery, improve mobility and reduce inflammation.
So he teamed up with his long time friend Kevin Parker to open Kume Float to provide these services to the community.
Our mission is to provide the Oakland community with affordable wellness and health spa.
Kevin has been involved in the spa industry since 2009 and had his first “Float” experience in 2017. He said it made him “feel like a new person.” All of the wear and tear of competitive sports since high school, college, and even professional years was no longer an issue. As both a father of four and a coach of young athletes for 20 years, Kevin understands the role of recovery and is eager to educate others of its importance in everyday life. With a background in the art of Biofeedback and Yoga, Kevin has the expertise and experience to share his knowledge with the world at his very own Float center. Opening Kume Float and Cryo Center will allow him to feed his passion for teaching, while helping others learn about self care, prevention, and recovery from all types of active lifestyles.
Kume Float is determined to provide the community with new ways to relax and heal the body through a variety of technology based wellness services.
